About Us
Smith Timbering & Consultants LLC began when a young man with a dream, a chainsaw, bulldozer, semi-truck, and log skidders wanted to start his own company. We are a fully insured, family-owned, and operated business that serves customers in Western PA.
In recent years the company has seen exponential growth and has become fully mechanized in most cases. We believe in having the right equipment for the job, which is why we continually upgrade our equipment each year. We have a great team of employees that have helped with the success of our business.

Smith Timbering & Consultants LLC strive to mitigate risks before they become incidents proactively. We strive for top-quality work performed in a highly productive manner, with safety as our priority. We believe that one of the best approaches to safety and health is to foster an environment that promotes greater awareness as to the importance of safe behaviors, practices, and systems.
All employees are mentored by one of our seasoned employees where they are shown how to work safely, utilizing proper techniques to protect themselves and others from injury/illness. We maintain an effective job performance by effectively monitoring the quality of work.
Safety of Our Employees
Employees recognize safety as one of their first and foremost job responsibilities. We are committed to our employees' safety. All employees are required to wear approved protective gear. Hardhats, gloves, long-sleeved shirts, and work boots are mandatory on all project work. Co-workers actively hold one another accountable for their safety and well-being.
Strict alcohol, controlled substances, and human rights policies are in place and rigorously maintained.
